Nationalism began to spread rapidly in China after the Great War, whereas communism was brought up a couple of years later . The nationalists had a both a treaty system and the restoration of full Chinese sovereignty that they wanted the U.S to support. Sadly, for the nationalists this did not happen, but there were some advantages along with this, such as that it helped further the May Fourth Movement. This movement was more successful, because all the Chinese classes protested through speeches, newspapers and novels, to make it happen. Other Chinese people who were disillusioned by the self-interest of the U.S and the European powers, began to switch to the Chinese Communist Party, where they pushed to believe that a “ Marxist-inspired social revolution”, would solve China's problems. Communists fought for things such as women equality, divorce, opposed arranged marriage and putting a stop to foot binding.
ReplyDeleteAfter World War ll, two groups had emerged in china, the Nationalists and the Communists. The Communists are like a form of socialism that looks forward for a class, less of a society and no private ownership. It focused more on the the people rather than the nations. In Communists the community is what prevails.
ReplyDeleteThey have an advantage by being very well trained in war fare and also had a great population.
The Nationalists had focused on state or union. It was also the development of a particular nation. The Nationalists had belived that one nation is superior than the other nations.
The citizens of the Nationalists country were more valued than the citizens of other countries. They have an advantage by having the free world behind there side.
Savannah- your post is very detailed and has alot of great information. i like how u added what the communist had specificly fought for like women and dicorces. good job!
ReplyDeleteIn between wars china had two partys the Communists and the Nationalists. The women who were Communists at that time wanted eqaulity and sought for the right to divorce. They also wanted to put an end to arranged marriges and also to foot binding.
ReplyDeleteNationalists wanted the elimination of special privileges for foreigners and national reunification. They also wanted economic development and a democratic republican goverment based on universal suffrage.
The Nationalists wanted to take away the rights of foreigners in an attempt to rid china of imperialism and to promote national unity. They also had to intention of modernizing China so that it could compete with other nations. They had the advantages of having a greater amount of followers and they had been organized into an effective political organization thanks to the Soviet Union.
ReplyDeleteThe Communists believed in a nation with no private property and drew inspiration from Marx and the Russian revolution. It was led by Mao Zedong and he believed that peasants were the foundation for a successful revolution. The CCP had the advantage of being supported by the Soviet Union.
After World War 1 India was in a quest for independece from British rule. Organizations form to gain independece and British responded by killing being armed. The Indian Act which gave India the institutions self-governing state. Also established freedom of making laws in the provinces of British India. As well formation of an executive arm under the control of the British government. Two sources of tension in India during this time was the Hindus and the Muslims in which Hindus were the owners of the houses in which Muslims lived on and payed rent to the Hindus. These two races had conflict due to them thinking one of them would over power the other.
ReplyDeleteAngel who did the nationalists attract and for what intersts thats all i could spot missing good job it looks alright because it has all the question asks.
ReplyDeleteCommunist and Nationalist were two emerging outcomes in political parties or ideals exposed in china. Communist was philosophy and movement that began in middle of the nineteenth century with the work of Karl Marx. Communism has the same general goals as socialism, but it includes the belief that violent revolution is necessary to destroy the middle class world and begin a new world run by and for the poorest class of working people. Communist were against arranged marriage but stood all in for women equality and the ability for divorce. Having a major number in population and being trained for war fare was an advantage that the communist carried! In the other hand the nationalist, they came on in to china after the Great War. Nationalism was the belief that the nation will benefit from acting independently therefore emphasizing their national goals. Their major plan was to eliminate imperialism from china meanwhile taking away the rights of foreigners! An advantage was the structure politically with the great number of believers and followers.
ReplyDelete-gaspar, Good work I read over the question and you have answered every single part of the question. although a helpful tip might be careful on how you put down your sentences and maybe use a little less of "in which" it threw me off! haha but other than that GOOD JOB you have shown a good understanding on the topic and used correct facts.:)
see you tomorrow guys (:
During the wars the nationalists and communists emerged in china. The nationalists wanted no absolute rights for the foreigners to promote national unity. The first nationalist controlled only part of china. They wanted to modernize china to compete with many other nations. They wanted a government based on worldwide suffrage. Their government had to deal with many concerns. The communists however was more about people not other stuff. They wanted equality so that everyone was treated the same. They were supported by the Soviet Union and that was an advantage. It is also similar to the goals that socialism had.
ReplyDelete-yessica i read the question and i think you pretty much covered evrything, to me it sounds good. i think you did better than me.
The status of India after WWI was dominion, still governed by Britain. However, they were in the process of achieving independence from Britain, which was achieved in 1947. One main leader from India that helped achieved this was a man named Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. By pioneering satyagraha Gandhi helped moved the Indian independence movement. There was a large amount of tension during this transition mainly between the Indians and the British but also between the Hindus and Muslims. Even after the war Indians were still viewed as second class citizens but Hindus thought they were higher then the Muslims. Their proof was that they owned property that the Muslims lived in. They still are in arms today on who is greater.
ReplyDeleteYesenia your paragraph seemed well written to me, I knew nothing about the topic prior to reading it but now I understand more. However I saw no comparing on how the two parties were similar.
