Everyone:
My wife will surely end my life for this, but it's still worth it.
I hate movies. Absolutely hate them. I don't want to set aside 1.5 hours for sitting on a couch, or the bed, or the floor, or some nasty chair that some snot-nosed eight-year-old sat in two hours before to watch some movie about another middle-aged white man who happens to think he's Santa Clause. Oh, and what's the point in watching something when you already know the outcome... Yeah, still waiting for the answer on that one. "Oh, but surely you respect the director's role in producing an Oscar worthy film, Mr. Markstone." Uhmmm, no, I don't. A director may take his, or her, Oscar, and proceed to stick where the sun doesn't shine.....on their respective mantels, or possibly in their wine cellars, where I will never see them, or care about about them.
So, when my wife had me dig through the shed last night for movies, because everyone is sick (except me...so far), I found a home movie from somewhere around 1990. It's my wife giving a speech in her 3rd-grade classroom. She's freakin' adorable. I love her, and my daughter looks a lot like her. That's good news for her, and bad news for me. I'm going to have to brush up on my jujitsu before too much longer.
