Everyone:
I'm like Shakespeare. I need to get paid, son. So does everyone else in the world. Well, almost everyone (remember our talk about absolute language?) That iPad toting HOBO across the street probably doesn't need regular checks from his employer, but he still appreciates it when people make it rain in his direction. Seriously, though, people need money and I'm no different. The difference between that HOBO and I, though, besides the fact that I work and still don't have an iPad, is that he's probably genuinely surprised when he actually gets paid and at how much he gets. Being a teacher, though, that doesn't happen. Today is the last working day of the month (because August has 31 days and I don't teach on Saturday mornings), so today is pay day. It happens every month, 12 times a year. No surprises, no worries, not BOOM Little Wayne makin' rain in my account, nothing like that. When I wake up the money is in my account. It's not even exciting. The fun part is going on a bill paying frenzy. Every pay day I have a race to see how fast I can pay my bills for the entire month. Today it took my 8 minute and 46 seconds. It was pretty awesome. That's enough of that until next pay day.
