Fascism remained a European phenomenon of the era between the two world wars. During the 1920’s & 1930’s fascism attracted a lot of followers’ especially middle classes and rural populations. The first fascist movement grew up in Italy after the Great War. Their rise of fascism included a widespread disillusionment with uninspired political leadership and ineffective government, extensive economic turmoil and social discontent, and a growing fear of socialism. In Italy they managed to elect thirty five fascist to the Italian parliament. They called the fascists armed squads the Blackshirts. One the tenth anniversary of the fascist seizure of power Mussolini announced that the twentieth century would be the century of fascism, the century of Italian power. Racism was never a part of Italian fascism until they were against Jews. Italy and Germany formalized their political and ideological alliance by signing a ten year pact of steel. This illustrated strong links between the Italian and German variants of fascism. Fascism in Germany however had some differences. They wanted to gain the most power. They were known as the Nazis socialism appealed to the members of the lower class like ruined shopkeepers and artisans, discharged white-collar workers and etc. they wanted all people to be their raise so they forced the births of children their raise, they even gave rewards to those who had more children. It was all propaganda. Between 1939 and 1945 the Nazis systematically killed by gassing, starvation or lethal injections to those people who they found useless to them. The German also didn’t like Jews and they were out to kill all the Jews.

  2. Both had common features such as devotion to a strong leader, devotion to their nation, and militarism. Italy had Benito Mussolini founder of Italian fascism, 1919 armed fascist squads called Blackshirts which used violence against socialists. Between 1925 and 1931 Italy transformed into one party dictatorship. In Germany Adolf Hitler came up with his own type of rule in which they killed everyone that is not pure German. He supported the idea of wemon having children to fuel their kind. Both of these places attracted middle classes and rural populations who felt alienated from soceity, as well frightened by the shadow of socialist revolution. The followers of these places were willing to die at any cost for their nation.

  3. Fascism first appeared in Italy after the Great War. It spread because of the ineffective government, economic turmoil and the fear of socialism. Benito Mussolini was the leader behind the fascist movement in Italy. Italy's main symbol of fascism was the fasces. The Italian Arditi were specially trained soldiers that lived for a life of violence. King Victor Emmanuel III elected Mussolini as the prime minister on 29 October 1922.Italian fascists consolidated their power though a series of laws that provided the basis for the nations transformation into a dictatorship.
In Germany Adolf Hitler became the chairman of the National Socialist German Worker's Party. National socialism first appeared when Hitler attempted to overthrow the democratic Weimar Republic. Many people blamed German Democracy for all the suffering that happened to Germany after WWI. National Socialism appealed to the lower-middle classes. In Germany Hitler and the swastika became symbols for German Nationalism. Unlike in Italy, racism and anti-semitism became became hallmarks in Nazi rule.

  6. Facism was political ideology and mass movement that was prominent in many parts of Europe between 1919 and 1945. It sought to regenerate the social, political, and cultural life of societies. Especially in contrast to liberal democracy and socialism. In Germany motherhood was ideolized and encouraged.Fascism began with Mussolini in Italy, and it reached its peak with Hitler in Germany. This mainly appealing to the middle class! A characteristic for both was sacrifice they were willing to do and take on everything asked all for their nation. A symbol representing the German facism would be Hitler and the nazi party but just mainly hitler in the other hand Benito Mussolini would fall as the italian symbol for facism! thus being as the starters!

The Idea of fascism consists of an important characteristic that is the separation of population based on religious beliefs and qualities. The idea of fascism emerged in Italy by, Benito Mussolini; later in Germany. In Italy armed fascist squads called, blackskirts terrorized socialists. Italy later became a one-party dictatorship banning any other political party. They also expressed a nationalism form that was often seen as racist. This form of government showed a devotion to elite rulers and state. This message usually overall appealed to everyone.

  9. Both fascist movements had the commonality of the veneration of the state, a devotion to a strong leader and militarism. Benito Mussolini led the Italian fascist movement while Adolf Hitler ran Germany’s in the guise of National Socialism or Nazism. This political movement attracted millions of followers and proved especially captivating to the middle classes and rural populations in the 1920s and 1930s. Fascist movements ordinarily dedicated themselves to the reanimation of seemingly lost national traditions and differed widely. Mussolini was convinced war represented a turning point for the nation. Hitler persecuted anyone who wasn’t purely German born. This message appealed to nationalists of all classes who denounced their governments for failing to realize the beautiful aspiration for which they had fought during the Great War.

  13. Italian fascism began when Mussolini’s league elected thirty-five fascists to the Italian parliament. There were many influences on Italian fascism such as liberalism, Marxism, syndicalism, socialism, Catholicism and nationalism. Mussolini’s fascist state emphasized patriotism, national unity, hatred of communism, admiration of military values and unquestioning obedience. Italian fascism was essentially non-racist, except for their labeling of Jews . During its existence it had four principal phases, and lasted until July 25th of 1943, when the Grand Council of Fascism removed Mussolini from his position.

German fascism also known as Nazism , was led by Adolf Hitler and came around the 1930’s. Hitler’s approach was much like Mussolini’s and he was very influenced by how he ruled Italy. German fascism shared many of the same characteristics with Italian fascism, which wasn’t exactly a good thing. The goals and dreams the Hitler had were so close to being fulfilled, until another world war aroused and crushed them.

  15. Fascism was similar in both Italy and Germany because they both had great and charismatic learders,Hitler and Mussolini. Both of the leaders had great armies following their rule, such as the Blackshirts and the Nazis. Adolf Hitler was a big impact on Fascism in Germany. The Treaty of Versailles had put the people of Germany into great suffering, and Hitler had people accept and appeal to his ideas because he had promised an end to misfortunes. Hitler tried making one new society, so he had made sure everyone was a pure german, and he had many jews killed. Adolf Hitler had exceeded in his ideas of a new world.
